About me:

Cristina Anglada is an independent art curator and cultural manager. Her research focuses on narrative strategies aimed at fostering new ways of thinking and connecting, with an emphasis on community building and mutual care. Since 2019, she has been an active member of Ses Milanes-créixer a la natura, a radical pedagogical self-organized project that works as a forest kindegarten in Bunyola, Spain, conceived by Lebanese artist and researcher Yasmine Eid Sabbagh.

She holds a degree in Art History from the Complutense University of Madrid and a Master’s in Contemporary Art History and Visual Culture from UCM and MNCARS, Madrid. Currently, she is co-curator of the Opening section for ARCOmadrid 2025 alongside Anissa Touati and serves as an advisor to the newly established Calparsoro Foundation. She is also a guest lecturer in the Master’s in Art Business program at CEU San Pablo University.

Her recent curatorial projects include collaborations with Casal Solleric, Es Baluard, and CA2M, and exhibitions such as Fascination (Diego Delas), Tales of Disorder (Mercedes Azpilicueta, Sarah Bechter, Ines Zenha), and Broken Open (Kirstin Wenzel, Álvaro Urbano, Alex Reynolds, among others).

In 2016, she co-founded This is Jackalope with Gema Melgar, a nonprofit cultural association dedicated to producing and promoting contemporary art practices with an international outlook. She has also worked as a consultant for private collections and collaborated with the PICE program for the internationalization of Spanish culture.
