Chantal Edie Ntube is a Cameroonian photographer, writer, and curator committed to art as a tool for social change. With degrees in History, Political Science, and an HND from Reading (UK), she co-founded The Forest Creative Loft (2020), an experimental urban space exploring ecology and community. Her research-driven practice addresses colonial legacies and contemporary conflicts in Cameroon, most notably through the travelling exhibition “Once Upon a Time: The Birth of Staat Kamerun 1884–1914” (Yaoundé National Museum, moving to Douala in August) and the Rights for Time project “Going Back Through Memory Lane” on the Anglophone crisis. She contributed to SAVVY Contemporary’s restitution think-tank “For the Phoenix To Find Its Form In Us,” which led to the founding of The Raining Season School, a platform for learning and unlearning. In 2023, she co-curated “Revivification”, an eco-activist project on deforestation. Across all projects, Ntube creates hopeful platforms for dialogue and transformation.
